About the Campaign

Bachpan Bachao Muhim (BBM) is the heart and soul of Fight for Right. Officially launched on 6 November 2019 from Government Primary School, Mattaur (Distt. Mohali), it aims to protect children from all forms of abuse and build a Punjab free from child exploitation.

Advocate Simranjit Kaur Gill was authorised by the Punjab School Education Department to spread awareness regarding child abuse in schools across the state — the first comprehensive campaign of its kind in Punjab.

Core Pillars

Five Pillars of BBM

Fight for Right – The Voice of Unheard Victim Welfare Society

Fight for Right – The Voice of Unheard Victim Welfare Society stands as the determined voice of every silenced survivor.

Our work is built on a holistic approach to child protection across Punjab, delivered through five core pillars:

  1. Awareness & Prevention – Interactive seminars in schools and communities to educate, empower, and prevent child marriage and abuse before it occurs.
  2. Free Legal Aid – Complete legal support from the filing of FIR to the final judgment, ensuring no victim is left without strong representation.
  3. Rescue & Protection – Immediate intervention and safe placement when a child is at risk.
  4. Counselling & Rehabilitation – Professional psychological support to help survivors overcome trauma and begin healing.
  5. Reintegration & Education – Helping survivors return to society with dignity, confidence, and continued educational support.

We exist so that the unheard may finally be heard, the vulnerable may finally be protected, and every child may reclaim the right to live with safety, dignity, and hope.

Seminar Structure

Our seminars are designed to be child-friendly and interactive:

  • Building a safe, welcoming atmosphere
  • Discussion on body parts and private parts
  • Good Touch vs Bad Touch
  • Simple explanation of POCSO Act provisions
  • What to do if someone tries to harm you
  • Training teachers and parents on reporting

We also produced the short film “Bas Hun Hor Nahi” with RD Production to reach a wider audience.
