Advocate Simranjit Kaur Gill

From the Courtroom to the Fight for Child Protection

Advocate Simranjit Kaur Gill spends her days practising at the Punjab and Haryana High Court and her evenings leading Bachpan Bachao Muhim educating children across Punjab about body safety, the POCSO Act, and their right to a childhood free from abuse.

Founded in 2017 and formally registered in 2021, Fight For Right has grown into a network of over 100 volunteers and 50 founder members. What began as free legal aid for survivors has become a statewide movement reaching 500+ schools with official permission from SCERT Punjab.

As a survivor herself, Simranjit understands the long shadow of child sexual abuse. She has secured convictions including 20-year sentences, rescued vulnerable children, and helped survivors receive compensation turning victims into warriors.
